The climate of Holetown (Barbados)
Holetown is also known as Jamestown and is located on the west coast of the island of Barbados. Holetown was the first English settlement. Nowadays Holetown is a luxurious resort with many villas, elegant hotels and trendy restaurants. This area is for the more well-to-do.
Holetown has a tropical savannah climate. This type of climate has temperatures that almost always exceed 20 degrees Celsius. Because of the tempering influence of the sea wind this is a very pleasant climate. The temperature of the water is pleasant as well the year round. Most of the rain falls from June to August. Heavy rain storms are not uncommon then. During the second half of the year hurricanes and tropical storms may occur.
