The climate of Paynes Bay (Barbados)
Paynes Bay is located in the west of Barbados and has beautiful beaches. The water is very calm here which makes this spot ideal for swimming and snorkelling. This area is still under development and many hotels, restaurants and luxurious resorts are being built. Paynes Bay has a tropical savannah climate. This type of climate has a dry period and a wet period and temperatures over 20 degrees Celsius the year round. During the wet period heavy rains may occur. This happens mostly during the months of June, July and August. Temperatures are pleasant the year around. The temperature of the water is pleasant as well. During the second half of the year hurricanes and tropical storms may occur.
