The climate of Phuentsholing (Bhutan)
Phuentsholing is situated on the border with India in the Himalayan mountain range. As a tourist you need a visa to visit this place. Most of the tourists reach this city by bus. A hellish 8 hour long journey over small mountain roads. Bhutan has its own culture which managed to remain authentic because the country isn’t flooded with tourists. Ancient temples and palaces can be found in the city. Phuentsholing has a cold China climate. During the winter roads are often closed because of snowfall. It may get very cold here. During the summer the weather is much warmer and much wetter. This also is responsible for the beautiful vegetation in the surroundings.
