The climate of Fuzhou (China)
Fuzhou is a very old city in the province of Fujian situated across from Taiwan. The city has many ancient attractions such as temples and other ancient buildings. However, the infrastructure has been completely renewed. The ancient crafts of Fuzhou have been well preserved. Fuzhou is known for its lacquerware. The city is surrounded by mountains and a beautiful scenery. Fuzhou has a warm maritime climate strongly influenced by the monsoon in eastern Asia. Summers are wet, muggy and very long. Winters are short and relatively mild. Because of the tempering effect of the sea temperatures remain quite high during the winter. Most of the rain falls in May. There is a risk of tropical storms during summer and autumn due to the clash of the various layers of air.
