The climate of Shenyang (China)
Shenyang is the capital of the province of Liaoning located in the north-eastern part of China. The city is an important commercial and industrial center for the trade with neighboring countries. The city is also known for the folk dances regularly performed in the local theater. Several special museums can be found here such as the museum on the Mukden incident. This museum commemorates the invasion of the Northern part of China (Manchuria) by Japan in 1931 and has been shaped as an enormous calendar. Shenyang has a warm continental climate with four distinct seasons. Summers are warm and wet, influenced by the monsoon in other parts of China. Winters may be extremely cold because of the winds that come from Siberia. Winters are very dry, because of this sandstorms are not uncommon.
