The climate of Argaka (Cyprus)
Argaka used to be a quiet village on the north coast of Cyprus at Chrysochous Bay. However, over the past few years tourism has been playing an increasingly important role. Every year an increasing amount of tourists visit this area. These tourists mainly come here to see the authentic Cypriot countryside instead of the large tourist resorts. Several small hotels and B&B’s can be found here as well as a restaurant and a small shop. Argaka has a Mediterranean climate influenced by the Mediterranean Sea. Because of this influence temperatures are pleasant all year round in Argaka and even warm by European standards. Even the temperature of the sea is warm all year round and very suitable for swimming, most pleasant during the summer. During the winter most precipitation can be expected.
