The climate of Argaka (Cyprus)
Argaka used to be a quiet village on the north coast of Cyprus at
Chrysochous Bay. However, over the past few years tourism has been
playing an increasingly important role. Every year an increasing
amount of tourists visit this area. These tourists mainly come here to
see the authentic Cypriot countryside instead of the large tourist
resorts. Several small hotels and B&B’s can be found here as well as a
restaurant and a small shop. Argaka has a Mediterranean climate
influenced by the Mediterranean Sea. Because of this influence
temperatures are pleasant all year round in Argaka and even warm by
European standards. Even the temperature of the sea is warm all year
round and very suitable for swimming, most pleasant during the summer.
During the winter most precipitation can be expected.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
