The climate of Cofresi Beach (Dominican Republic)
Cofresi Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Dominican Republic and was named after the pirate Roberto Cofresi. Cofresi Beach is surrounded by luxurious hotels that look out over the azure blue sea on the one side and on the other side over a ridge. Ocean World & Water Park are in the vicinity. The largest dolphin laguna in the world is situated here. Cofresi beach has been the setting for several films. It also is a popular location for photo shoots. The sands of Cofresi Beach are stunningly white.
Cofresi Beach has a tropical rainforest climate. In the Dominican Republic the weather can be divided into two seasons. The summer months are relatively dry with very high temperatures. The winter months are very wet. However, temperatures are still pleasant. During the winter rainfall can be very heavy. Humidity figures can get high as well. During the late summer months tropical depressions and hurricanes are not uncommon in the Caribbean.
