The climate of Newcastle (England)
Newcastle upon Tyne or Newcastle for short is located in the County of Tyne and Wear in the north eastern part of England. Along the shore of the river Tyne many cosy bars and restaurants can be found. If you would like to know more about Newcastle’s history you should pay a visit to the Sunderland Museum and the Winter Gardens. Several multi media systems tell you about Newcastle’s past. Football fans should visit Newcastle’s stadium, St. James’ Park. Newcastle’s surroundings also have a lot to offer. The coastal line is overwhelmingly beautiful and the village of Tynemouth is worth visiting. Newcastle has a sea climate with rainfall all year round. However, showers are usually short-lived. The weather is unstable in general. Sun, rain and clouds alternate. Summers are sunny with temperatures of 20 degrees Celsius on average.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
