The climate of Newquay (England)
Newquay is located in the County of Cornwall on the most eastern tip of England. Newquay is a sea side resort. Ever since Victorian times people come here to enjoy the beaches and the sea. During the summer surf festivals are held here. Thousands of old Volkswagens come to the city for the annual Run to the Sun festival. Because of its situation on the east coast of Cornwall Newquay’s climate is very much influenced by the warm Gulf Stream in the Atlantic Ocean. In comparison to other places in England temperatures are almost tropical here. Spring starts earlier and winters are warmer. Because of its location on the coast the weather may change very rapidly. The weather alternates between rainy, sunny and cloudy. These types of weather can all occur several times per day
