The climate of Dijon (France)
Dijon used to be the centre of power of Burgundy, which is still well visible yet. Philip the Bold governed his kingdom from Dijon, it was the home port of the Order of the Golden Fleece and many Flemish and Dutch painters such as the brothers Van Eyck worked from this town. Moreover Dijon is of course very famous for its mustard! This splendid town is to be visited very well throughout the year, it has a very moderate climate. The temperature in the winter seldom exceeds zero degrees and in the summer it is a very agreeable 20 degrees. It does rain in Dijon but much less than in Holland with the exception of the spring when sometimes heavy downpour can occur.
