The climate of Paros (Greece)
Paros is a Greek island situated in the Aegean Sea and part of the Cycladic archipelago. It is one of the largest islands of this archipelago. The capital of this island is Parikía. Naxos is known for its hospitality and its beautiful beaches. Each year many tourists enjoy these beaches; among them are many Greeks from the mainland. Golden beach is probably the most famous beach on the island. The Byzantine Katapolianí church is one of the biggest sanctuaries on the island and is also known as the church with one hundred doors. Just like most of the Greek islands Paros has a warm Mediterranean climate. The climate is influenced by the Aegean Sea. Winters are cold and wet. However, very cold days are uncommon. Summers are warm, sometimes even hot with little precipitation. During the warmest days of the year the sea offers a pleasant cooling.
