The climate of Chowara (India)
Chowara is a seaside resort on the Arabian Gulf. It is situated in the district of Thiruvananthapuram. It is a small fishing-village with a splendid wide beach with lots of coconut trees on the edge. Here you can still find the small fisherman’s houses and just a little chapel. More and more resorts and holiday residences spring up beside the small village.
Chowara has a tropical monsoon climate. In this climate mostly two periods can be distinguished. A dry and a wet period. Here most rain falls in the months of May up to and including October. Due to its situation close to the equator and on the sea there are few differences in temperature. The cool seabreeze provides agreeable cooling on warm days.
