The climate of Hyderabad (India)
Hyderabad is the capital of the federal state of Andhra Pradesh and situated on the river Musi. Besides one of the biggest urban areas in India it is also an important center for the film. The Telugu Film Industry better known as Tollywood has its home base here. Because the town is situated between northern- and southern India it has got a mix of those two cultures. The cuisine and customs have elements of both the Indian and muslin culture.
Hyderabad has a warm steppe climate. This climate is a transitional climate between the tropical and the desert climate. It has high temperatures and a relatively high drought. Most vegetation is low in the form of grasses. Due to the somewhat higher situation of the town the mornings and the nights are cool. The summer is from March up to and including June and then the temperatures are high. In June starts the monsoon which lasts up to and including September. The wintermonths are mild with agreeable temperatures.
