The climate of Lucknow (India)
Lucknow is a town in India’s federal state Uttar Pradesh. This town in the north-west of India is situated on the banks of the river Gomti. The ancient rulers built many splendid mausoleums and large decorated entrance gates in the town. Singing, dancing and culinary creativity was encouraged very much and made Lucknow into an important cultural centre. The consequences of this are very obvious until this day. Also nowadays Lucknow is an important multicultural centre in India.
Lucknow has a warm China climate. This very particular climate occurs in more elevated areas. The summers there are very warm and wet. Very suitable for the culture of all sorts of crops and also you can often find luxuriant forests in this area. On the other hand the winters are reasonably dry. It does get colder but temperatures far below freezing point seldom occur. That is why snowfall is rare here.
