The climate of Kurashiki (Japan)
Kurashiki is situated on the Takahashi River in the western part of Okayama in Japan. This city has a beautiful historic centre. Because Kurashiki is situated on a river the city has always been a trading port. The beautiful old and typical warehouses in the trading suburb are still a silent witness to this time. Many of the old warehouses are still in tact. The city also has two modern art museums, which are worth visiting.
Kurashiki has a warm sea climate. Because of its protected location Kurashiki has much fewer problems with floods, typhoons and tsunamis than other coastal areas. Kurashiki doesn’t get much rain all year round. Some months are a little drier than others. Temperatures are mild and there is little difference between summer and winter.
