The climate of Bruinisse (the Netherlands)
Bruinisse is a popular holiday destination in Zealand. The village is located in the eastern part of the island of Schouwen-Duiveland on the banks of the Grevelingen River and the Grevelingen dam. Fishery and mussel farming used to be the main source of income. Nowadays this is tourism. When the Aquadelta, a large holiday resort with a marina, was built tourism flourished. South of the village the museum on the great flood of 1953 can be visited. Bruinisse has a moderate sea climate influenced by the Grevelingen River and the warm gulf Stream. During the summer temperatures are just above 20 degrees Celsius on average. When a wind from the sea blows things may feel a bit colder. Precipitation is evenly spread out over the year.
