The climate of Eindhoven (the Netherlands)
Eindhoven is also known as the ‘the City of Light’ because Philips has their headquarters here. Eindhoven is located in the eastern part of the North-Brabant province. Several schools for intermediate and higher vocational education and a university of technology are situated in Eindhoven. In the vicinity of the town Eindhoven Airport is situated. The largest subtropical swim paradise of Europe, the Tongelreep, along with the Pieter van den Hoogeband swimming stadium is situated next to the Genneper Parks. Eindhoven has a pleasant moderate maritime climate. Because of its favorable situation temperatures in Eindhoven are slightly higher and precipitation figures are slightly lower than the average figures in the Netherlands. However, a moderate maritime climate still means summers are cool and wet and winters are mild.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
