The climate of The Loonse en Drunense Duinen (the Netherlands)
National Park the Loonse and Drunense Dunes is centrally situated in the province of North Brabant. The park mainly consists of coniferous forests and sand drifts. The National Park is situated next to amusement park the Efteling. One of the most beautiful and most difficult mountain bike courses is set out here. For a fee you can enjoy 25 kilometers of mountain bike routes. There is also a special horse trail. Only few mammals live in this area. A few years ago badgers were introduced successfully. National Park the Loonse and Drunense dunes has a moderate sea climate influenced by the North Sea and the warm Gulf Stream. Because of these influences there are little differences in temperatures between summer and winter. During the summer temperatures are around 20 degrees Celsius. During the winter temperatures are a few degrees above freezing point. Precipitation is evenly spread out over the year.
