The climate of Gol (Norway)
Gol is located in the southern part of Norway in the Halling valley. This valley is very popular among walkers. Many signed footpaths can be enjoyed here. From May till August you can go for stunning walks through the valley and over the surrounding mountains. Several walking holidays are offered in which your luggage is transported to the next hotel. Besides walking several mountain bike trails can be found here in all degrees of difficulty. Gol is ideal for cross country skiing during the winter with more than 250 kilometers of pistes. The climate is ideal for this activity. During the winter it gets rather cold especially on the peaks. During the winter enough snow falls to cover the pistes in snow. Summers are mild with moderate temperatures.
