The climate of Changuinola (Panama)
Changuinola is located in the province of Bocas del Toro in the north-western part of Panama. Many banana plantations can be found here, which is the largest source of income after tourism. Most people that visit Changuinola are on their way to Costa Rica or Bocas del Toro. The city David can be reached from here quite easily. Several hotels can be found in Changuinola. However, as a tourist you only stay here as a last resort. The La Amistad National Park can be reached easily from Changuinola. Changuinola has a tropical climate. Rainfall is hard to predict. However, there are distinct wet periods in July, November and December. During the other months rainfall can be expected on a regular basis. Even during the drier periods the average precipitation figure is 163 millimeters. Temperatures are quite constant in Changuinola: between 22 and 27 degrees Celsius.
