The climate of Khabarovsk (Russia)
Khabarovsk or Chabarovsk is located in the south-eastern part of Russia on the banks of the river Amur situated in the Asian part of Russia. Khabarovsk is only 20 kilometers from the border with China on the South- Sredneamurskaya lowlands. One of the largest cathedrals in Russia, the Saviour’s Transfiguration Cathedral can be admired here. The Assumption Cathedral is also well worth visiting. A statue of Nikolai Nikolajevitsj Mieren-Amur can be found in the city. His picture is also on a 5,000 rouble note. Khabarovsk has a cold continental climate with long and cold winters and pleasant summers. Winters are cold and dry with temperatures of -18 degrees on average. Summers are pleasantly warm. However, because of high precipitation figures humidity figures are also high during summer. Khabarovsk gets 700 millimeters of rain per year.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
