The climate of Blanes (Spain)
Blanes is located in the northeastern part of Spain in the Gerona province in the Catalonia province. Blanes is the most southerly located city on the Costa Brava. This seaside resort has been popular since the 1970s. especially people from North Europe travel here every year. Every year the ‘Concurs de Focs d’Artifici’ is held. This is one of the biggest annual fireworks festivals in Spain. Just like other places on the Costa Brava Blanes has a Mediterranean climate strongly influenced by the Mediterranean Sea. During the summer it is pleasantly warm here with sunny days and low precipitation figures. Winters are mild, subzero temperatures are uncommon during the day. During the night subzero temperatures may occur. Precipitation mainly falls during spring and autumn. During fall the weather may be rainy and grey for a few days in a row.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
