The climate of Puerto del Carmen (Canary Islands / Spain)
Puerto del Carmen is a seaside resort located on the east coast of Lanzarote. It is the most popular seaside resort on the island. This is because of its favorable situation and the enormous sandy beach of Puerto del Carmen. The combination of beautiful beaches, many restaurants and bars and its situation cause this seaside to be very popular among tourists. However, Puerto del Carmen is more crowded and noisier than Playa Blanca which is located further to the south. This popular seaside resort is sunny, warm and dry. Precipitation is uncommon during the summer. Even during the wetter winter months precipitation figures are still low. Because of its situation the fierce trade winds have little influence here. This causes things to feel warmer and somewhat muggier than in Playa Blanca.
