The climate of Torremolinos (Spain)
Torremolinos is located in the southern part of Spain on the Costa Blanca and was named after the windmills that could be found here. Torremolinos has a Mediterranean climate. According to several organizations the climate of Torremolinos is one of the healthiest in the world. The warm summer days are tempered by an ever blowing sea breeze. However, when a southerly wind blows that supplies warm air from the Sahara it may get very warm and muggy. Every summer there are several periods with heat; during these periods temperatures rise to 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit). If one of these periods occur during your stay in Torremolinos you will have to seek cooling in the pool or in the sea. Winters are mild. However, a few kilometers into the interior subzero temperatures may occur. During fall heavy rainfall is not uncommon. During the winter chances of long lasting precipitation are higher.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
