The climate of Wengen (Switzerland)
Wengen is a health resort located at the foot of the Jungfrau Mountain and gets a reasonable amount of hours of annual sunshine. Because of its leeward situation the climate is milder here than in other parts of Switzerland. During the summer temperatures may rise rapidly causing a danger of avalanches. The picturesque village has kept a lot of its original character; the city has banned all traffic. You can go rafting, canyoning, hiking and mountaineering here. The Eigerwand is for the real adventurers, this is one of the most difficult walls to climb in the world. You can also just sit back and enjoy watching mountain climbers doing their thing.
