The climate of Kissimmee (Florida - United States of America)
Kissimmee is centrally located in Florida on the banks of Lake Tohopekaliga. During the beginning of the 19th century Kissimmee played an important role in the colonization of the area. Via the lake all sorts of goods were transported here to be distributed over the rest of Florida. After the railroads were constructed Kissimmee lost this function. Nowadays the region is mainly popular because of the amusement parks which can be found here, such as Disney World. Kissimmee has a very pleasant climate. Subzero temperatures are uncommon here. The sun shines all year round. Only during the summer is short and heavy rainfall not uncommon. During this period humidity figures may rise which may cause a muggy feel. However, a ride in the rollercoaster should cool you down.
