The climate of Pensacola (Florida - United States of America)
Pensacola is located in the northeastern part of Florida. The city is located on the Pascambia Bay and is an important Naval Air Station. Because of its location in the ‘armpit’ of Florida it is also known as Panhandle. There is a high risk of hurricanes here. Three hurricanes were recorded over the past decade. Pensacola has a subtropical climate with warm summers and mild winters. During the summer temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) are not uncommon. These high temperatures often cause heavy thunderstorms during the evening. From November till March temperatures are lower. During the winter average temperatures are about 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit). The lowest temperature was recorded in 1985, -15 degrees Celsius (5 degrees Fahrenheit). However, this is very uncommon in this region. Since 2004 no subzero temperatures have been recorded.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
