The climate of St. Petersburg (Florida
- United States of America)
St. Petersburg is located in Tampa Bay on the Gulf of Mexico. Because
of the favorable climate this region is very popular as a vacation
destination among Europeans, North Americans and the elderly. This is
not surprising since the average annual temperature is 27 degrees
Celsius (80 degrees Fahrenheit). During the summer temperatures may
rise as high as 37 degrees Celsius (98 degrees Fahrenheit). Just like
in the rest of Florida there is a risk of tropical storms and
hurricanes here. However, since 1921 St. Petersburg has not been hit
by a hurricane. St. Petersburg has more to offer than pleasant weather
and beautiful beaches. Many museums and other interesting attractions
can be found here such as the Dali museum. This museum has the largest
collection of works by Salvador Dali in the world.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
