The climate of College Station (Texas
- United States of America)
College Station is a large city located centrally in the eastern part
of the state of Texas. The city is located between three large cities:
Houston, Dallas and San Antonio in the Brazos Valley. The origins of
College Station date back to 1860, when the Houston and Texas Central
Railway was constructed in the region. Texas A&M University and Texas
A&M Health Science Center can be found in the city. In total, more
than 50,000 students attend these universities. College Station has a
warm maritime climate with high precipitation figures all year round.
The climate of College Station is influenced by the Gulf of Mexico.
Because of this longer periods with subzero temperatures are uncommon.
During the summer high precipitation figures may cause humidity
figures to be high as well. During the summer average temperatures are
