The climate of Laredo (Texas
- United States of America)
Laredo is a large city located in the southern part of the state of
Texas on the banks of the Rio Grande in Webb County. The Rio Grande
forms the natural border with Mexico here. Across the river the
Mexican city of Nuevo Laredo can be found. Laredo Community College
and the Texas A&M International University can be found in the city.
The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio has a
campus in the city. The city plays an important role in the export and
import of products to and from Mexico. Because of its location in the
south temperatures are much higher here than in other parts of Texas.
Subzero temperatures (during the night) are uncommon. During the
summer average temperatures are above 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees
Fahrenheit).
