The climate of Al Ghaydah (Yemen)
Al Ghaydah is a small coastal town in the south-east of Yemen not far from the border with Oman. The town is not big but has a tourist information office and an internet café. Most tourists whom come here are on their way through and have landed here on the local airport to discover Yemen from here. Although Al Ghaydah is a coastal town it does not have a large harbour and only small ships can moor here. Al Ghaydah has a hot desert climate with little to no precipitation. Here most precipitation generally falls in the height of summer. The temperatures in Al Ghaydah show only few changes due to which the difference between the summer- and winter months is not very big. In the summer months the average temperature is just above thirty degrees centigrade. In the winter months the average temperature is just below that.
