The climate of Ndola (Zambia)
Ndola is a large city centrally located in the northern part of Zambia
in the Copperbelt province in the vicinity of the border with
Congo-Kinshasa. The city is situated in an important copper mining
area. Because copper is mined here the city plays an important
economic role in Zambia. In the city itself a large oil refinery can
be found.
Ndola has a moderate China climate with slightly lower temperatures
than in other parts of the country. There is a distinct rainy period
and a distinct dry period. The rainy period is from November till
March/April. Nights may be cold here; in extreme cases subzero
temperatures during the night may occur.
