The climate of Styria (Austria)
Styria is a federal state in the south eastern part of
Austria, bordering Slovenia. The capital of this federal state is
Graz, one of the cultural capitals of Europe. The actor and governor
of California Arnold Schwarzenegger was born here. Styria is also
known as the green hart of Austria because of the forests along the
rivers Mur and Enns and the fertile hills in the south and east.
Delicatessens such as Traminer wine, chocolate and brandy come from
this region. Many campsites and hotels can be found in this federal
state. You can go hiking, mountaineering, mountain biking and rafting
here. Winters are sunny, summers may be cloudy with temperatures
between 15-25 degrees Celsius.
