The climate of Bahrain
In comparison with other Gulf States such as Qatar and the United Arab
Emirates Bahrain has a slightly cooler climate. It feels cooler as
well because the country consists of several small islands all
surrounded by the sea. Slightly cooler still means very warm during
the summer and pleasantly warm during the winter. Because of the
desert climate precipitation is scarce. Chances of precipitation are
highest during the winter and negligible during the summer. During the
summer both temperature and humidity figures are high making it feel
very muggy. Even during the evenings it remains warm. It feels as if
someone is pointing a blow drier at you when there is a breeze,
especially when the wind comes from the land.
Rain
Rain usually only falls during the period from November-April. In
total only 60mm of rain falls per year. Because hardly any rain falls
there is hardly any vegetation. Bahrain is very dry, just like the
entire region.

More climate information
Climate tables are useful but they don’t give an overall picture of
the climate and possible weather conditions during a period of time.
How high the chances are of hot or cold weather or hurricanes can
often not be found in these tables. This is why we offer extra climate
information per month.
