The climate of Blankenberge (Belgium)
Blankenberge is a popular seaside resort on the Flemish coast,
especially among youngsters. It is very pleasant to stay here during
the summer. The long boulevard offers a lot of entertainment during
the day. The many terraces, shops and amusement halls offer hours of
fun. During the summer the beautiful wide beach and the North Sea
offer a cooling escape if necessary. In the evening you can visit one
of the many cafés, bars and discotheques. There is something to suit
all tastes. You can go dancing till the morning light or you can go
and lounge in one of the bars on the boulevard. There are also a lot
of activities for young families, such as the Sea Life Center.
Blankenberge has a moderate sea climate which is moderated by the warm
Atlantic Gulf Stream. This means winters are mild but cold and summers
are rather cool with temperatures of 19 degrees Celsius on average.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
