The climate of Hasselt (Belgium)
Hasselt is located in the Limburg province and is also called the city
of taste. The city lives up to this name with the fashion museum and
the oldest gin distillery. Hasselt is a cosy city with small streets
and cosy markets. It is very nice to enjoy one of the terraces in
summer or in one of the cafés in winter. The city was even named the
cosiest city in Belgium. Several years ago Plopsaland Indoor was built
here. Since 1985 the annual festival Pukkelpop is held here. Hasselt
has a maritime climate with mild winters and pleasant summers. Most of
the rain falls in July and August. However, these are also the warmest
months with temperatures of 20 degrees.
