The climate of Zeebrugge (Belgium)
Zeebrugge is part of the municipality of Brugge (Bruges) and is
situated on the Flemish coast. Zeebrugge is an important port in
Belgium, because of this Zeebrugge is also referred to as Bruges-Port.
Everything that has something to do with the sea can be found here:
sailing, a maritime theme park, deepsea fishing and fish restaurants.
Zeebrugge is connected to Bruges via the 12 kilometer long Leopold
Canal. Zeebrugge has a moderate sea climate with relatively mild
winters and rather cool summers. Because of the warm Gulf Stream from
the Atlantic Ocean sea temperatures are slightly higher than in the
rest of the North Sea. Rain falls all year round. Chances of
precipitation are smallest during spring.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
