The climate of Ambergris Caye (Belize)
Ambergris Caye is the largest island of Belize and the center of the
sea trade of the state. The only city on the island is San Pedro. The
inhabitants of the island subsisted on coconut and fish. However, the
past few years Ambergris Caye has become popular with tourists as an
eco destination. Ambergris Caye is ideal for diving. San Pedro is a
cosy city with several hotels and a pleasant nightlife. Ambergris Caye
has a tropical climate; the island has much to offer in the way of
scenery making it a very attractive place to visit. Beautiful white
beaches and palm trees make for picture postcard scenery during
sunset. The rainy season is from July till September. However, rain is
usually short lived and most of the rain falls during the evening and
early morning.
