The climate of Cumbuco (Brazil)
Cumbuco is a small seaside resort in the north east of Brazil in the
vicinity of the popular tourist destination Fortaleza. Because of the
south easterly trade winds in combination with sand dunes this seaside
resort is very popular among wind surfers and kite surfers. The
combination of the wind and the dunes make for unique circumstances.
Together with the palm trees these dunes make for a beautiful skyline;
sunsets are simply astonishing. Cumbuco is a small town. However,
everything you need can be found in the local shops; on the beaches
several baraccas can be found. During the evening you can enjoy a
drink and a bite with the locals on the prazinha.
Cumbuco has a tropical climate with a rainy season and a relatively
dry season. Because of the south easterly trade winds temperatures
below 15 degrees Celsius are uncommon. Temperatures above 35 degrees
Celsius are uncommon as well. The rainy season lasts for six months;
from January till July; humidity figures may rise during this period.
The sunniest weather can be expected during the last few months of the
year.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
