The climate of Battambang (Cambodia)
Battambang is located in the western part of Cambodia in the
Battambang province on the banks of the Sangker River. The
surrounding landscape is dominated by this beautiful river. The old
French colonial architecture has been well preserved and gives the
city a charming atmosphere. Several beautiful old temples are
situated in the city. Among them are the temple of Ba Nan and the
temple of Ek. Several nature reserves can be found in the vicinity
of the city. These reserves are home to unique animal and plant
life. Battambang has a tropical savannah climate with a distinct dry
and wet period. Temperatures are high all year round. Precipitation
figures are highest from May until September.
