The climate of Saint John’s New Brunswick (Canada)
Saint John’s New Brunswick is the largest city in the province of New
Brunswick and one of the oldest cities in Canada. The city is situated
on the Bay of Fundy and the St. John’s River. Saint John’s has a wet
moderate continental climate. The Bay of Fundy on which the city is
situated never gets completely frozen over. Because of the influence
of the water temperatures don’t drop as low as some other places in
the interior. However, the wind comes from the interior during the
winter. Because of this temperatures may still drop as low as -19
degrees Celsius. Summers are slightly colder than in the interior with
temperatures of 25 degrees Celsius on average. During the summer it
may be foggy during the morning. The city gets about 1,400 millimeters
of precipitation per year. Winter and spring are the wettest periods.
During the winter precipitation may fall in the form of snow.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
