The climate of La Serena (Chile)
La Serena is a beautiful port in the north of Chile. La Serena is one
of the oldest towns in the north of Chile. The lovely beaches really
are a tourist attraction in the summer. The remaining old colonial
architecture gives the town a pleasant view. La Serena has a cold
desert climate. The summers and the winters are very dry. Rain falls
just a few times a year in heavy showers. Although the temperature is
very high in the daytime, it can drop strongly during the night and
sometimes even get below freezing-point.
