The climate of Chengdu (China)
Chengdu is situated in the center of the province of Sichuan and is
the capital of this province. Chengdu is known for its panda breeding
center. Here they try to prevent the panda from becoming extinct. The
Wojung National Reserve is in the vicinity. This is one of the last
natural bamboo forests in China and one of the last places where
pandas live in the wild. Chengdu has a warm China climate. This type
of climate is mild and wet and is protected from cold northerly winds
by the Qinling mountain range. Summers are warm and wet. However, it
doesn’t get as warm here as in other places in China. Rain falls all
year round with a peak in July and August.
