The climate of Dali City (China)
Dali City is located in central China in the province of Yunnan.
Several marble quarries can be found here. The city supplies several
kinds of marble. The city has a historic character with several
beautiful temples: the temple of Chong Sheng, the Guanyin palace of
copper rain, the three pagodas and the butterfly spring. Several
ethnic minorities live in Dali City, all with their own festivals and
festivities which color the city. Because of the moderate climate it
is pleasant to visit the city all year round. Temperatures are never
too cold. However, after a heavy rainstorm temperatures may drop
several degrees Celsius, please, bear this in mind when traveling to
Dali City. Dali City has four distinct seasons and a dry and a rainy
period. The monsoon is from June till October.
