The climate of Dalian (China)
Dalian is located on the most southern tip of the Liaodong peninsula
in the north western part of China. The city is situated on the Yellow
Sea and has many beaches attracting many tourists every year. In the
vicinity of the beach several animal parks can be found, one of them
specialized in animals from the Polar region. The dolphin show is well
worth visiting. The scenery surrounding the city is beautiful. Dalian
has a warm continental climate. This type of climate is characterized
by extreme differences in temperatures between summer and winter.
Summers are wet and influenced by the Asian monsoon. High temperatures
and high humidity figures cause a muggy feel so this is not the best
time to visit Dalian. During the winter the Siberian winds cause
extreme cold.
