The climate of Kunming (China)
Kunming is a city located in the southern part of China. The
surroundings of the city are very beautiful. You can go for a lake
cruise on Lake Dian. In the vicinity of the city the stone forest can
be found. This forest is full of limestone rocks all beautifully
shaped. With its beautiful temples the city itself is well worth
visiting too. Kunming has a moderate China climate. Because of its
situation on a low degree of latitude and its elevated situation on
the Yunguin plateau the climate is very moderate. It doesn’t get
really warm during summer and not too cold during winter. Winters are
short and dry; summers are wet. The rainy season is from May till
October. Because the difference between the coldest and the warmest
temperature is only 20 degrees Celsius it seems to be spring all the
time. Weather conditions are ideal for flowers and plants. You can see
flowers and trees bloom all year round here.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
