The climate of Wenzhou (China)
Wenzhou is located on the east coast on the East Chinese Sea. The city
is surrounded by beautiful scenery, forests, national parks,
meandering rivers and beautiful mountains. Some of these national
parks are so unique that they have become a Unesco world heritage
site. Wenzhou has a warm maritime climate characterized by short, mild
and dry winters and long, hot and wet summers. Because Wenzhou is
situated on the leeward side winters are milder here than in the rest
of the province. During the summer heavy monsoon rains can be
expected. During the end of summer, beginning of autumn there is a
risk of typhoons that often cause a lot of damage.
