The climate of Wuhan (China)
Wuhan is the most densely populated city in central China. The city is
a junction of both waterways and railroads. Because of this many
industrial companies have settled here, and made Wuhan an important
industrial center. The city actually consists of three cities:
Wuchang, Hankou and Hanyang; these cities have merged into Wuhan. In
spite of its modern industrial character several old buildings have
been well preserved such as the Yellow Crane tower dating back to 220
AD. Wuhan has a warm maritime climate with very wet and warm summers.
Because it may be very hot during the summer the city is among one of
the ‘three ovens’ of China. Winters are reasonably mild, subzero
temperatures hardly occur and snow only falls once in a while.
