The climate of Northern Dalmatia (Croatia)
Northern Dalmatia consists of the central part of the Croatian coast.
This coastal area is also known as the Makarska Riviera, named after
the city of Makarska which is situated in this area. On the coast
there is locally a subtropical climate; in the interior the climate is
moderate. Northern Dalmatia used to be one of the most important
regions in the Mediterranean, nowadays the main source of income is
tourism. The many old attractions are still a silent witness to
ancient times.
