The climate of Zadar (Croatia)
Zadar is a port with a Mediterranean climate with warm and dry summers
and mild winters. The Velebit mountain range prevents rain from
reaching Zadar during summer. During the autumn, winter and spring
rain may fall on a frequent basis. During the winter fierce winds are
not uncommon. The Bora wind (a wind that comes from the mountains may
reach speeds of 180 kilometers/hour) may blow in Zadar. Especially its
surroundings may suffer from this wind.
